Announcement of the Robert and Julie Webb Society

Photo of Robert and Julie WebbWe are thrilled to announce the launch of the Robert and Julie Webb Society, created to honor individuals who have included Webb School in their estate plans. This new society celebrates the legacy of our founders, Robert and Julie Webb, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for a community rooted in honor, character, and academic excellence.

Robert Webb once stated, “I want to start a school that educates young people in extraordinary ways.” His vision continues to inspire generations of students, alumni, and friends to invest in a future that ensures Webb School’s mission endures. Planned gifts play a vital role in this effort, leaving a lasting legacy that supports the school’s continued excellence and prepares thoughtful, principled leaders for tomorrow.

The profound influence of Mr. Webb can still be felt today in the countless stories shared by Webb alumni from the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s. Graduates from these transformative decades frequently recall his wisdom, discipline, and unwavering belief in their potential. For so many, his guidance shaped not only their academic achievements but also the values and character that would define their lives. As one alumnus said, “Mr. Webb believed in me even when I doubted myself. His lessons were more than academic; they were lessons for life.”

While Robert built the academic framework, Julie Webb became the heart and soul of the school. As Paul Pressly noted in 2005, “Her quiet wisdom and graciousness have found their way into this institution, sometimes in planned fashion and sometimes by simple osmosis.” From her 29 years of service on the board to her unwavering commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive community, Julie’s influence continues to resonate throughout Webb.

The Robert and Julie Webb Society honors the values of vision, leadership, and service that defined our founders. By including Webb School in your estate plan, you have the opportunity to uphold their legacy while ensuring that future generations benefit from the same extraordinary education and ideals that shaped the Webb community.

This society also marks an evolution in Webb’s planned giving efforts, replacing the Princeps Society. Members of the Robert and Julie Webb Society will be recognized as partners in preserving and advancing the mission of Webb School, ensuring that its rich traditions and transformative impact endure for years to come.

We invite you to join the Robert and Julie Webb Society and become part of a legacy that empowers Webb School to continue to thrive. Together, we can honor the vision of Robert and Julie Webb and build a future that reflects the principles they cherished—and the lasting impact they had on generations of students.
